The College Library is one of the department of Government
Engineering College,Thrissur,established in 1957.The foundation stone of the college was laid by the late Pandit Jawaharlal
Nehru,the then Prime Minister of India.The college was inaugurated by the late Chief Minister of Kerala,Sri.Pattom Thanu Pillai.
The College Library will remain open from 10 AM to 5
PM on all working days.The Library has more than 54000 books and back volumes of journals.It is fully automated and Online
Public Access Catalogue(OPAC) facility is available for students and staff

Library have various sections like circulation,reference,book
bank etc.The period of circulation for B.Tech students are 15 days and
M.Tech students are 30 days.Fine @Rs1 per day is collected from the defaulters.Degree students can take 2 books and PG students
5 books.There is provision for coputerized reservation and renewal.The reference section have more than 7500 books and periodicals.Xerox
facility and Internet Search facility is provided for users.
The book bank collection include books for SC/ST students and
Lilly Varkey Memorial book bank for economically backward deserving students.
